Our Values
Welcome to the World Community Network (WCN)! Join us in creating a blueprint for a new world of harmony and abundance. Our 77-person team now spans six continents and communicates in 57 languages. Behind the scenes, we are very busy developing systems for the web and via a mobile app that will inspire and enable us to connect, communicate, and take collective actions together. The first version of our mobile app for iOS is finished! We just migrated our systems to the Amazon cloud to support much higher web traffic. The initial version of our new social media/networking platform is complete and is being beta tested. Join with us today!!

“Human rights are not a privilege conferred by government. They are every human being's entitlement by virtue of his humanity”

- Mother Teresa

Values

We value the following principles and consider them to be of vital importance:

  • Peaceful, harmonious lives are preferable to lives filled with stress, poverty, violence, and crime.

  • All people are equal. We all have universal rights, including the right to be treated with love, dignity, compassion, and respect. We all seek and have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

  • Diversity is to be celebrated, not eliminated or minimized.

  • Regarding the future of humanity, long-term thinking is better than short-term thinking.

  • Challenges are best resolved through peaceful, nonviolent means. Focusing on conversation, dialogue, and diplomacy while standing on common ground is a critically important tool in resolving our issues.

  • Facts matter. When there is disagreement, an earnest and honest effort will be made to separate fiction from fact.

  • In an infinite universe, being optimistic is crucially important. In this spirit, we intentionally act in the knowledge that it is our destiny to live in peace, harmony, and abundance.

  • We are committed to creating a blueprint for a peaceful, abundant, thriving world community - first in the digital realm and then in the physical world.

  • We must learn to live together as brothers and sisters, or we will die together as fools. 1

  • Rather than fearing the future, the best way to predict the future is to create it. 2

  • We will not change things by fighting an existing reality. To effect change, we must build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete. 3

  • When wisdom emerges from the will of the people and they exert their leadership, the leaders will follow. 4

  • We choose to unite to co-create a new world. We choose to reinvent the world into one that is peaceful and abundant, not because it's easy, but because it is hard; because this goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because this challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one we intend to see to fruition.5
