Fabian Aude, Chilean Spanish and Spanish Translator, Engineer, and Educator (Osorno, Chile)

Fabian is a Chilean engineer, translator, and educator, specializing in agriculture. He grew up in the countryside in the south of Chile, in an extended family of small farmers. His grandfather was a beekeeper and inventor; Fabian discovered through these experiences the value of life in the countryside and the meaning of cooperation in small communities. With a strong academic background in engineering and extensive experience in the field of linguistics and artificial intelligence, Fabian has worked in agricultural project management and has also been a lecturer in various agricultural subjects, participating as a senior lecturer in non-profit governmental programmes in agro-ecological training, permaculture, and small farm management. He has worked in the publishing industry as a localization expert and content editor for Spanish as a second language books, and as a volunteer for NGOs involved in economic development for people living in poverty. In his career as a linguist and editor of Aymara and Spanish language texts, Fabian has worked on a wide variety of projects for companies around the globe, including Spanish as a second language books, personal development books and technical texts in the field of engineering. In addition, he has worked with software and AI development companies assisting in the development of Spanish text and audio processing systems. Fabian has a keen interest in helping WCN achieve its goals of reaching the minds and hearts of Chilean Spanish and Spanish-speaking people through its work. With his ability to work as a team player, his attention to detail and his ability to work in a multicultural environment, he is committed to making a significant contribution to WCN's mission. Fabian is passionate about chess and gastronomy. In addition, he has dedicated much of his life to the practice of martial arts such as aikido, karate, and taekwondo. In his spare time, he enjoys trekking with his partner and cooking for his family.
